A Game Theory Approach for the Groundwater Pollution Control

چکیده
A differential game modeling the noncooperative outcome of pollution in groundwater is studied. Spatio-temporal objectives are constrained by a convection-diffusion-reaction equation ruling spread aquifer, and velocity flow solves an elliptic partial equation. The existence Nash equilibrium proved using fixed point strategy. uniqueness result for also under some additional assumptions. Some numerical illustrations provided.

Groundwater Pollution Control
Groundwater is an important source of potable water because it is abundant and readily available in many locations and often requires little or no treatment. In 1995, groundwater accounted for approximately 20% of potable water use in the U.S., and approximately 50% of the U.S. population relied on groundwater for their source of drinking water. In most European countries, groundwater accounts ...
متن کاملChanges in a Service Oriented Enterprise: A Game Theory Approach
Service Oriented Enterprises (SOEs) are subject to constant change and variation. In this paper, the changes are considered from an economic perspective based on service culture notion. Once a change is implemented, the costs of some member services may increase, whereas the costs of some other services may reduce. We construct a game theoretic model trying to capture the possible conflicting i...

abstract atrak basin is an agricultural area in north khorasan province that the most farmers are using from groundwater resources for irrigation their crops. decreasing rainfall in recent years in this area, competition between urban, agriculture and industrial consumers has increased for water acquisition. in present study, game theory was applied for groundwater resources management of atrak...
متن کاملCooperative aggregate production planning: a game theory approach
Production costs in general, and workforce and inventory costs in particular, constitute a large fraction of the operating costs of many manufacturing plants. We introduce cooperative aggregate production planning as a way to decrease these costs. That is, when production planning of two or more facilities (plants) is integrated, they can interchange workforce and products inventory; thus, thei...
